Description
This publication focuses on three important Mangold works from different periods. Their common aspect is Mangold’s idea of the “Frame Painting”. “Frame Paintings” include wall and space of their installation site in a way that they become a part of the work. The illustrations show the paintings in their installation at the Hallen für Neue Kunst. Informative texts by Christel Sauer describe the individual characteristics of the three extraordinary works.
